Information and Communication Technology
The school is very well equipped with ICT equipment. The school has a wide range of laptop and desktop computers, headphones, microphones, web cameras, video cameras and other ICT equipment. Each classroom is equipped with a data projector, digital cameras, and a range of software to support student learning in all areas.
In addition to classroom equipment we have a range equipment that can be used in classrooms, including a digital scanner, digital microscopes, overhead projectors, TVs, DVD and video players, a portable sound system/PA, and a range of software, DVDs, videos, and games to support learning across the curriculum.
All classrooms are connected to high-speed broadband via our school server through either wired or wireless access points. Our teachers work actively towards using the internet as both a teaching and learning tool, and to support learning in all curriculum areas through the high quality resources available. Extensive use is made of our ICT equipment, as they are essential tools for 21st Century learning and support our inquiry learning process.
The school is committed to keeping up to date with advances in information and communication technology. The school's computers are in use each day enabling children learn to use them as a functional tool for writing, supporting and reinforcing learning, publishing, blogging, accessing internet information, research and communication. The school computers are networked, and all classes have access to the schools intranet; a system of communication, storing and sharing files across the school. Teachers and students are able to access, share, and store information, send communications to others on the network, and post daily notices for the whole school to read.
The B.O.T. and PTA are firmly committed to the provision of educational technology and have an ongoing commitment to the on-going support, maintenance, and purchase of ICT equipment that supports our students learning and readies them for the use of new technologies.
