Living and learning the West Melton School Way:  Empowering our Learning Communities for the Future
Most State Schools ask school families for a voluntary school donation.  In the past the donation has been used to provide many of the "extras" in schools which were not directly funded by the Government - for example, sports and recreation equipment, library books, music resources, videos, computers etc. "Tomorrows Schools" has not lessened the need, it has just given schools more discretion at spending the money.  Your Board of Trustees is totally committed to maintaining the high standard of facilities and education at West Melton School and trust that you will support us in this regard.

Activity Fee

This fee (which is $40 per child) covers the cost of trips, visiting performers and other activities which children attend as part of the school curriculum.   This amount is retained as a credit on your school account until an activity is undertaken.  This saves the collection and processing of small amounts of money throughout the year.   If the cost of activities exceeds this amount over the course of the year the additional amounts are requested as required.
