Vision & Values
Our vision is:
Innovative, Connected and Empowered learners,
driving their passion for learning
As part of school life we believe that these values are important to instil in our students and model in our practices:
Te Taumutu Rūnanga Values
The eight values selected by Te Taumutu Rūnanga Education Committee are particularly relevant to schools. These values are everyday values, which are essentially the human values of caring for each other, respecting the elderly and the environment. These are values common in many cultures throughout our world.
The Te Taumutu Rūnanga values are:
● Kawa me te Tikanga
● Te Reo me ōna Tikanga
As the school reviewed the Vision and Values in 2015- 6, part of the on going consultation process, is to ensure the community have an opportunity to contribute further on the context in the learning environment.
We value and acknowledge the input and guidance our Taumutu Rūnanga have provided the school in the document He Tirohanga Ūara Nō Taumutu providing a template to guide the school through the consultation and engagement process with all who will live and model our values
(The purpose of this document is to work with the leadership team initially on the eight values proposed by Taumutu Rūnanga in a collaborative activity considering what these values might mean in our mahi/work and learning.)
